Sink close to or straddling worktop join.

I have a plan for the kitchen but, it would mean the sink being close to or straddling a worktop join or the join being above the washing machine and not supported by a base unit.

Any suggestions on the best solution? As it is I'll be limited to a small sink unfortunately.
