supporting breakfast bar overhang on compact laminate

hi,

I have zenith compact laminate worktop

I have a 900mm wide breakfast bar worktop on a 600mm unit. The overhang will be 300mm.

I am using standard contractors silicone to secure worktop to the base units. I know that normally brackets are used to support the overhang, however in this case i can't drill into the compact laminate.

Is there a way to provide additional support to the overhang?
