Flush to Ceiling Extractor Hood

I'm after some advice.

I'm creating a drop ceiling over a kitchen island that need to house the extractor unit. Instructions say not to mount directly into plasterboard and should have a suitable substructure to support the unit.......I have metal studding to creat the drop ceiling, what should I do to suppprt the extractor?
