How to remove cabinet bracket cover?

Our kitchen has Wickes wall cabinets in place but I'd like to line them up much better than they are currently.

Unfortunately the silver covers are in place over the top of the cabinet bracket - and I can't see how to remove them without damaging them completely?

Any ideas?
