Securing a hob to a worktop

I have a Howdens kitchen that is in the process of being built, and there is an electric hob in the worktop which seems to only be installed by placing it into the worktop with sponge strips. No clamps, screws or hinges to hold it down firmly in place. It can move around slightly and I'm worried that with it not being secure it might affect the usage or water may get through easily.
