Veneered Kitchen Upstand: Scribe or Mitre?

Hi - Apologise if this has been asked before. I couldn't find the specific question I have a couple of internal corners to cut for a kitchen upstand. It's a veneer mdf and I was wondering if a scribe is possible? - it's got a rounded top. The veneer looks a little fragile to scribe and backcut? Or should I just mitre and fill where the wall is not exactly straight?
