My worktop which is quite old but am hoping to keep it going for a few years yet. It has starting getting small cracks in the worktop around the edge of the hob next to the ring I use the most. It feels like there is nothing between the hob and the countertop and the counter gets really hot when I cook. I feel like I should take the hob out and put some sort of tape/barrier round. I have found the silver tape which I am going to put round the cut edges of the worktop but what should...
