Integrated dishwasher help

Hello,
I am buying a new kitchen and having a fully integrated Miele dishwasher installed.

I'm confused about the difference between fixed and sliding hinge - does it make much difference?
My kitchen designer just keeps telling me the dishwasher needs to fit a 780mm fascia panel.
Miele only come in fixed hinge.
