Benchtop issues

Hi guys,

I've recently moved into a property that had been renovated about a year ago. I've noticed that the benchtop seems to be cracking at one end. I've attached some pictures it looks to me like the end hasn't been sealed and perhaps some moisture has gotten in.

Do you think it's can be saved? I've talked to Howdens who claim it will get worse over time and require a new benchtop?
