Couple of kitchen questions

So a couple of kitchen related questions that I have.....

Looking at installing oak upstands for our new worktop.
A couple of questions. Considering I know there isn't a 90 degree corner in the house, how should I go about the internal corners? I'm thinking that scribing the ends in so they sit flush when butted up rather than attempting a mitre cut?

Secondly, best method of fixing. Fortunately the worktop has been fitted dead level and the walls in good condition and flat. I am a...
