single row of tiles used as upstands

Hello Everyone

Planning to use laminate worktop to keep costs down. Want to get it from the same place as my kitchen to keep delivery down (diykitchens).

The worktops seem good value but was a bit shocked to see the upstands at getting on for the same price as the worktops themselves !

SO, since I'm going for a black worktop, was thinking of using a single row of long black tiles about 10cm...
