Snapped handle screws

Hi all,

Does anyone have any tricks to remove a snapped screw out of a handle that breaks pretty flush with the back of the handle?

Also fixing a screw into a handle that doesn't seem to have any thread?

Both scenarios pop up when fitting kitchen and bedrooms with no spare handles.
