Fitting extra tall integrated fridge to Howdens tower unit

Hi,

Has anyone experience of attempting to install an oversized integrated 70/30 fridge freezer into the extra tall tower unit?

All that makes the unit 'extra tall' is the addition of a separate box that sits on top of the standard tower unit.

In other words, is it feasible to knock the top out of the one and the bottom from the other, join together with plates and then install a taller fridge than the one that Howdens suggests?
