DIY kitchens door spec

Fancy using these for my next kitchen.

Bit of an amateurish question but when it comes to spec of door what should I be looking for?
is 22mm foil wrap better or worse than an 18mm lacquered mdf?

I would guess foil is the budget/cheaper option?
